Happy Friday night everyone! I am not sure what you all are doing but I am at home watching a movie! I just took a nice bath and used a Lush bath bomb! Was so NICE! Anyway I’m super excited about a bunch of traveling that is in the near future but most excited about getting back out to Los Angeles. I find that people in New York think people in LA are fake and people from LA think people from New York are snobby. I have always loved LA and I find the people to be so welcoming. The last time I was in Los Angeles it was April 2011 and for the New Now Next awards that I attended with Austin.
I have such a love for Los Angeles. I think the reason I love it most is because it is the complete opposite of New York City. You drive EVERYWHERE and the weather is amazing. Bars close at 1:30-2:00am and everyone heads to an after hours at someone’s house. In New York most people couldn’t fit 10 people in their apartments. It is just a completely different lifestyle. I think New York is lovely when you are younger but I think that you get a lot more for your money when you are older and move west.
Recently I rented the movie “Somewhere” and I fell in love with it. Its directed by Sofia Coppola and its a simple movie. I don’t want to give any spoilers for anyone who intends on watching the film but I will say I felt so deeply for Stephen Dorff. Some people might not like the movie because not a lot happens and its very slow. I have seen actors like him in my day that go through the motions and lose feeling to what is real in life. This movie is also shot mostly in the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Blvd. Its an amazing old hotel with so much history and I love staying there when I am in LA. On my next trip I am staying at a friends place in Malibu. I look forward to a week of relaxation, catching up with old friends, and taking some important meetings in Hollywood.
Well thank you for reading my boring blog post tonight.
All my love
